Welcome and introduction to ESL

The purpose of our Spanish school, Español Sin Límites or ESL, is to help students become fluent Spanish speakers and become familiar with Spanish speaking cultures around the world.

To accomplish this, we help the student get immersed in the language as well as provide and encourage as much practice as we can.

We strive to make learning fun, interactive and non-threatening through the use of many games, exercises, songs, videos, stories and pictures.

Each level has 12 lessons and each level is meant to be completed in a week and includes the following:

  • A video lesson with an accompanying written lesson. The lesson teaches a greeting, 6 vocabulary words and the lesson itself that could be a grammar, vocabulary or a verb lesson. The video is approximately 30 minutes long.
  • A short practice video and a written practice sheet. This video is between 5 - 10 minutes long. A link is provided to play a game to practice the skill learned.
  • The third part is culture. We provide videos, pictures and activities to learn about the Spanish speaking country introduced during each lesson.
  • The fourth part is a quiz so we can check your progress and provide help as needed.
  • The fifth part is extra practice or enrichment.
  • Follow this link for more exercises and games if you feel you need more practice or you want to learn
  • new words. Please make sure to ask us for help or guidance any time it is needed.

Student Binder

The student binder or notebook is a very important resource to have handy. At ESL, we will build the student’s notebook together as we introduce different lessons which are the tools and the building blocks to start learning and using the language. You will need a three-ring binder or “virtual folders” to organize the different lessons in the following categories:

1. Vocabulario 2. Gramatica 3. Verbos

4. Escritura

5. Practica

(Vocabulary) Grammar) (Verbs) (Writing) (Practice)

At the upper left-hand corner of each lesson you will find one of these categories (Vocabulario, Gramática, Verbos, Escritura, and Practice) to show you where to file it.
